An evening of poetry will be held in celebration of National Poetry Month, with Philip Kobylarz as a featured poet. Friends of Woodside Library hold its semi-annual sale of everything from bestsellers to art books, children's stories and cookbooks -- all outdoors in the parking lot. All proceeds go to the library. Wearable art show, sale and benefit
STYLE 2014 presents the jewelry and textile designs of 47 independent fashion designers in a two-day show, sale and benefit. The event will support Palo Alto Medical Foundation's Women's Cancer Survivorship Program. Tickets are available online and at the door. May Day March for Immigration Reform
There will be a march and rally held on May Day to advocate for a reasonable path to citizenship, family reunification, the end of deportation and human rights. Relay For Life of Palo Alto
Relay For Life is a that gives communities a chance to celebrate the lives of people who have battled cancer, remember lost loved ones and fight back against the disease. Teams of people will camp out at the high school and take turns walking the track for 24 hours. June 28-29, 9 a.m.-9 a.m. $10 to register. Palo Alto High School, 50 Embarcadero Road, Palo Alto.
