The Palo Alto Chamber Orchestra will present the first of three concerts in its Bach Celebration on Sunday, March 7, in Valley Presbyterian Church in Portola Valley.
Music director William Whitson conducts the orchestra and the soloists in performances at 7:30 p.m. in the church sanctuary. Pianist Paul Hersh and cellist Julian Hersh will be soloists at the first concert on Sunday. featuring Brandenburg concerti.
The second concert on Sunday, March 14, features three musicians, soprano Deborah Barney, flutist Greer Ellison and harpsichordist Marion Rubinstein. The finale on Sunday, March 21, includes violinist Karen Bentley and harpsichordist Jonathan Salzedo in Brandenburg Concerto No. 2 in F and tenor Mark Mueller in a Bach cantata.
Series tickets are $32 for general admission and $27 for seniors and students through March 7. Single tickets are $12 for general admission and $10 for seniors and students. For information, call 856-3848.
