ATHERTON
Drunken driving: The following people were arrested on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol:
**Karie L. Strathman, 29, of Mountain View, March 11, at the corner of Fifth Avenue and El Camino Real. She was taken to county jail.
**James Stauffer, 42, of Redwood City, March 6, at the corner of Glenwood Avenue and El Camino Real. He was taken to First Chance alcohol-intervention facility in Belmont.
MENLO PARK
Possession of cocaine for sale: Ondre Keith Mitchell, 25, of East Palo Alto, was arrested March 7 on charges of possessing cocaine and marijuana for sale at the corner of Willow Road and Newbridge Street. He was booked into county jail.
Stolen vehicle: Hyundai Elantra was reported stolen from the 700 block of Santa Cruz Avenue March 7.
Residential burglary reports:
**A resident of the 400 block of University Drive reported March 10 that his side door was kicked in and two cameras, one backpack, and a camcorder was taken.
**Two computers and pair of shoes reported stolen from a house in the 600 block of Coleman Avenue March 9.
Vehicle burglary arrest: Rafael Rodriguez Prado, 36, of multiple addresses, was arrested March 9 on charges of vehicle burglary at the Safeway Supermarket on El Camino Real. He was identified at the scene by several witnesses who said they saw him break into a car parked in the lot; however, a stereo and cell phone found in the suspect's car and thought to have been stolen did not come from the car Mr. Prado was accused of burglarizing. An investigation is continuing.
Commercial burglary: Gardening equipment valued at $300 reported stolen from Haven Enterprises on Haven Avenue March 9.
Vehicle burglary reports:
**Heating system, stereo system, two suitcases of clothing valued at $1,500, and a women's leather coat valued at $600 were reported stolen from a 1982 Volvo, parked in the 600 block of Live Oak Avenue March 7.
**Electronic organizer and pager reported stolen from a car parked in the 1800 block of El Camino Real March 9.
**Walkman, CDs, and CD case reported stolen from a garage in the 1600 block of El Camino Real March 8.
**CD player valued at $1,000 reported stolen from a car parked at Chili's Restaurant on El Camino Real March 12.
Petty theft: A worker at Informix Co. on Bohannon Drive reported her wallet with approximately $80 cash was stolen from a desk drawer March 6.
Attempted vehicle burglary: Left window of a car parked at Stanford Park Hotel on El Camino Real reported smashed March 6. Nothing reported stolen.
Vandalism reports:
**Car tires slashed and threatening message reportedly left on an answering machine in the 1400 block of Chilco Street March 9.
**Bathroom at Menlo Oaks School on Pope Street spray painted with graffiti March 11.
**Car in the 400 block of Ivy Drive reported keyed March 11.
WOODSIDE
Drunken driving: Walter Trevino, 38, of Ssan Mateo, was arrested on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol February 27 at the corner of Interstate 280 and Woodside Road. He was taken to county jail.
Public drunkenness: Brad Johnson, 27, of San Francisco, was arrested March 7 on charges of being drunk in public after officers reportedly found him asleep behind the wheel of his car, which was parked on Quail Meadow Drive.
Drug possession: Steven Zappelli, 19, of Portola Valley, and Jeremy Woodfin, 18, also of Portola Valley, were cited for possession of marijuana and contributing to the delinquency of a minor after their vehicle was stopped for going 34 miles per hour in a 25 miles per hour zone. A 17-year-old boy was also in the car.
Mail theft: A resident of the 500 block of California Way reported several pieces of mail were taken from her box March 6.
Vandalism reports:
**Graffiti reportedly spray painted on a delivery truck parked in the 3000 block of Woodside Road March 4.
**Jeep windshield reported smashed in the 100 block of Greer Road March 5.
**Four car tires reported slashed in the 2900 bock of Woodside Road March 7.
