Tiegel-Hwong

The Bluff House, Green Turtle Cay, Bahamas, was the setting for the December 27 wedding of Karen Tiegel and Jenko Hwong. A reception was held February 6 in Boston, and a second reception will be held this summer in Atherton.

The bride is the daughter of Connie and Eric Tiegel of Atherton. A graduate of Menlo-Atherton High School and Claremont McKenna College, she received a master's degree from Stanford University. She is a teacher at the Buckingham, Browne & Nichols school in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

The bridegroom is the son of Stella and Gilbert Hwong of New Hartford, New York. A graduate of Phillips Exeter Academy and Stanford University, he is a vice president at Invenio Technologies, a software company in Boston.

Michelle Lewis was maid of honor, with John Brien as best man. After a honeymoon on Green Turtle Island, the couple is living in Boston.

McKibben-Gaither

Elizabeth Campbell McKibben and Reed Stanton Gaither were married October 10 at the Holman Ranch in Carmel Valley, where a reception followed.

The bride is the daughter of Judith and James McKibben of Atherton. A graduate of Menlo-Atherton High School and Stanford University, she received her law degree from Emory University in Atlanta. She is an attorney with the firm of Hancock, Rothert and Bunshoft in San Francisco.

The bridegroom is the son of Susan and James Gaither of Hillsborough. He is a graduate of Princeton University, with law and business degrees from Stanford University. He is a software product manager for Edify in Santa Clara.

Amy Zirpoli was her sister's matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Dorsey Jennings, Kendra Hodder, Alex McClure, Lisa Oldham and Tracey Taylor. Jim and Whit Gaither were best men. Ushers were Sam Hodder, Jay McKibben, Duke Rohlen, Justin Radomile, Trevor Traina and Cadio Zirpoli.

After a wedding trip to St. Bart's in the West Indies, the couple is living in San Francisco.

Preininger-Hogan

Susan Hart Preininger and Brad Joseph Hogan were married February 13 at the Garden Court Hotel, Palo Alto, where a reception followed.

The bride is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Richard Preininger of Scottsdale, Arizona. A graduate of Menlo-Atherton High School and the University of California at Santa Barbara, she is a second-grade teacher in the Menlo Park City School District.

The bridegroom is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Donall Hogan of Scotts Valley. A graduate of San Jose State University, he is a marketing manager for Autoweb.Com.

Tina Baylocq and Elise Autenrieb attended the bride. Brian Hogan was best man, with Mark Preininger as groomsman. After a wedding trip to the Bahamas, the couple is living in Redwood Shores.
