Woodside woman named YMCA 'volunteer of year'
(November 15, 2000) Woodside resident Ann Wengert was recently named "volunteer of the year" by the Stonestown Family YMCA.
Ms. Wengert is a member of the Stonestown branch's executive committee and served as vice chair of its board of managers.
Ms. Wengert is CEO and co-founder of Property Capital, and is credited with using her background in commercial real estate to negotiate a favorable lease for the YMCA's Senior Center Annex, scheduled to open in July, said Rosanna Gomez, executive director of the Stonestown branch.
A leading donor to the YMCA, Ms. Wengert served for several years as a volunteer leader for junior high backpack trips to YMCA's Camp Jones Gulch, said YMCA spokeswoman Dawn Stranne.
