Realtor Alain Pinel plans to retire Realtor Alain Pinel plans to retire (April 17, 2002)

Real estate veteran Alain Pinel, who has spent the past seven years as a senior executive with Coldwell Banker, is retiring from the company in July to return to his native France.

Mr. Pinel came to the United States in 1976, joining Peninsula brokerage Fox & Carskadon. In 1990 he left to form Alain Pinel Realtors Inc., a residential brokerage that still bears his name.

After selling the firm, he returned to France, where he was sales and marketing director of real estate investment corporation. He returned to the United States in 1995 to become a senior vice president and West Bay regional manager for Coldwell Banker, with offices in Menlo Park.

Mr. Pinel and his wife, Corinne, have built a new home in the South of France where they will reside.
