Wedding

Cynthia Carol Reeves and James Bowland Rutter were married December 14 at Stanford Memorial Church. A reception followed at MacArthur Park restaurant in Palo Alto.

The bride is the daughter of Elaine C. Reeves of Kirkland, Washington, and Richard D. Reeves of Olympia, Washington. She is a graduate of the University of Washington and a district sales manager at TAP Pharmaceuticals.

The bridegroom is the son of Joanne and Dr. Richard R. Rutter of Emerald Hills. A graduate of Menlo-Atherton High School, where he was junior and senior class president, and Stanford University, he earned a master's degree from Georgetown University. He is a fourth-generation Stanford graduate and the third generation to be married at Stanford Memorial Church. Mr. Rutter is a financial entrepreneur.

Tiffany Baird Girouard and Tristen Baird Willard were co-matrons of honor. The bridesmaids were Paige Griffith, Patricia Jones, Lora Logan, Shannon Meyer, Loree Skjelset, Karen Rutter Weber and Wendy Weiss.

Peter Miller was best man. The groomsmen and groomswoman were Gregory Baty, Lisa Bergamo, Gregory Cox, Joseph Crayton, David Lisle Dohrmann, James Liebes, Daniel Michener and Brian Reeves.

Mackenzie and Allison Weber were flower girls. Mark Weber was the ring bearer. The ushers included Richard Casey, David Scholtz, Dietmar Martin and Andreas Waldow.

The newlyweds are now living in Emerald Hills after a wedding trip to Bora Bora, French Polynesia.
