Trish Hooper's new book: 'April in Paris'
Trish Hooper's new book: 'April in Paris'
(December 17, 2003) "April in Paris," a carefree account of an American family's life in Europe and Paris from 1957 to 1967, is expected to be available at Kepler's this weekend.
Penned by the irrepressible Trish Hooper of Portola Valley, the book recounts the joys and travails of the Hooper family of Woodside -- diplomat John, wife/mother Trish, four children, and invaluable Swiss helpers. For 10 years they survived temperamental plumbers, electricity, elevators, drains, and weather, yet still managed to absorb the joys of the "city of sound and light."
"April in Paris" boasts very French paintings by the versatile Mrs. Hooper, as well as beaucoup family photos.
