Signup time for Woodside Junior Riders
(February 18, 2004) Woodside Junior Riders is back in the saddle for the 57th summer in a row.
The English riding program is open to school-age children living in the Woodside Fire Protection District, which includes Portola Valley.
For those who register now, the fee is $500 for a 10-week session starting June 14 for the more experienced riders, and starting June 21 for the less experienced ones.
Riders join in group lessons during the weekdays at the John Kiely Equestrian Center, 3375 Tripp Road, Woodside. Horses are provided, but riders have the option of bringing their own mounts.
The program ends with a horse show for all participants on August 22.
Program manager, Marty Raynor, says tuition fees cover only about 70 percent of the costs, and that additional donations are always welcome.
To register, call her at 851-1295 or e-mail: martyraynor@sbcglobal.net.
