Menlo Watch: Menlo residents' thoughts sought on traffic issues Menlo Watch: Menlo residents' thoughts sought on traffic issues (March 24, 2004)

Everyone has an opinion on traffic: where it should be, how fast it should go, and how or whether to try to control it. On Saturday, March 27, Menlo Park residents can voice those opinions at a meeting held by the city's transportation division.

As directed by the City Council last year, officials are developing a citywide traffic management plan to increase street safety, which will include an approved list of features to control vehicles, such as traffic circles. The plan is also expected to include a requirement that officials study the effects of any projects on all streets likely to be affected, not just project streets.

The March 27 meeting will run from 10 a.m. to noon at Hillview Middle School at 110 Elder Ave. Another meeting is scheduled from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, May 1, at the Menlo Park Senior Center at 100 Terminal Ave. For more information, call 330-6770.

The Tuesday, March 23, meeting begins at 7 p.m. For more information, call the City Clerk's office at 330-6620.
