Q. From an eighth-grade class at Hillview: What happens if there aren't enough police on duty to address all the needs that come up at once? Has this ever happened in Menlo Park?

A. We have the option of calling neighboring cities, such as Atherton and Palo Alto. We also can call on the Sheriff's Office. As for whether it has ever happened in Menlo Park: It happens a lot. We often have multiple critical incidents that occur simultaneously.
