Fund created for family of murdered Menlo Park man
(April 28, 2004) A relief fund is now open for donors interested in helping with the expenses of the family of Rodolfo Gonzalez -- the Menlo Park father of seven who was gunned down by robbers on Saturday, April 17, during a home invasion robbery.
Mireya Gomez, Mr. Gonzalez' niece, said she has established an account with Wells Fargo bank. Contributions should go to account number 7935719794 under the name of Mireya Gomez/Rodolfo Funds.
Mr. Gonzalez, 45, was shot in his driveway when he returned home after driving his mother home from a family gathering, his niece said.
The two suspects in the murder are described as African American men of medium build and between the ages of 18 and 21. One man is said to be 5 feet 10 inches tall, the other slightly shorter at 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall.
Menlo Park police Detective Bill Massey is asking anyone with information on the two men to call 330-6363.
