Youth soccer signups begin May 1
(April 28, 2004) New and returning players in region 109 of AYSO soccer, which serves Menlo Park and Atherton, who were born between August 1, 1985, and January 31, 2000, may sign up now for the 2004 season that starts in September.
To pre-register, go online at www.mpsoccer.org
and update current data (new players will need to enter information),
sign up for a volunteer job, print out the forms and come to registration.
Parents who volunteered as coaches or referees in 2003 and plan to coach
or officiate in 2004 can simply mail in their forms and checks after pre-registration.
After pre-registering, parents must come to walk-in registration to hand in forms and pay fees of $110 ($75 for kinderleague players born between August 1, 1998, and January 31, 2000). Parents of new players must also bring proof of age.
Registration will be held Saturday, May 1, and Saturday, May 15, from 9 a.m.
to 3 p.m. in the Hillview Middle School library, Santa Cruz and Elder
avenues in Menlo Park. For more information, visit http://www.mpsoccer.org.
Woodside and Portola Valley
Parents must register their children in person for AYSO soccer on Saturday, May 1 (May Day festival), at Woodside Elementary School; Saturday, May 22, room 8, Portola Valley Town Center; or Saturday, June 12 (town picnic day), Portola Valley Town Center. Hours are 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The fee for early registration (through June 30) is $100 for K-league and $140 for grades 1-12. Fee for late registration (after June 30) is $130 for K-league, $140 for grades 1-12. After July 1, players will be added only if space is available.
To register, bring the names of your medical insurance carrier, policy ID number, doctor's name and phone number, emergency contact person information, child's height and weight, and your checkbook.
