M-A's record dropped to 10-13 for the season and 5-7 in PAL after a 11-1 loss to first-place Burlingame on Friday, April 30, at Flood Park.

The Panthers jumped out to a quick 11-0 lead and cruised to their win on home runs by Justin Granato and Kevin Scannell. Domenic Di Ricco had three hits and one RBI for the Bears, but this was not enough to beat the now 20-3 Panthers.

On April 28, Carlmont beat the Bears 14-4 Carlmont at Flood Park. The first 14 batters reached base for Carlmont and pitcher Nick San Fellipo struck out seven and helped his own cause by hitting two home runs to earn his eighth win of the season.

Previously the Bears beat Terra Nova 5-3 on Friday, April 23, at Terra Nova. David Klein tripled in the match-up and Domenic Di Ricco made an amazing catch with his back to the infield to close out the fifth inning when Nick Rengart crushed a drive to deep left field. Grant Stevenson pitched his way out of a jam in the seventh inning with the bases loaded to earn the win.

This came after an 8-7 loss to Terra Nova on April 21 at Flood Park. Although Kyle McCabe earned the loss, he pitched a complete game for M-A, striking out six.

The Bears beat Aragon solidly on April 2, 14-5, with Domenic Di Ricco and Clark Hagman each batting in three runs and Alex Bedrosian reaching base five times on one hit, three walks and once being hit by the pitch. Grant Stevenson picked up the win in relief.

The Bears then traveled to San Diego for the Lions Tournament over spring break, lost to Helix in the third round and returned to beat Capuchino on April 14, 9-7.

M-A struck quickly in the first inning, scoring four, two of which came on a double by Clark Hagman. Kyle McCabe pitched the last two innings to earn the win, striking out three.

The Bears then played Capuchino at Flood Park, winning 9-1. Tyler Finley had an important two-run double in the first inning and David Klein tripled. Kyle McCabe earned the win with 68 pitches, 52 of them strikes, improving his record to 6-5.
