Atherton

Fraud report: Fraudulent use of stolen credit card, De Bell Drive, July 26.

Robbery report: Purse taken by people in passing vehicle, Menlo-Atherton High School, July 26.

Menlo Park

Auto-burglary reports: Vehicle broken into, 1300 block of Willow Road, July 23. CDs taken from vehicle, 100 block of Seminary Drive, July 24. Vehicle window smashed and purse taken, 1600 block of Marsh Road, July 26. Vehicle window forced open and cash taken, 100 block of Clover Lane, July 27.

Burglary reports: Window smashed and computer taken, Hamilton Court, July 23. Bicycle stolen, 200 block of Blackburn Avenue, July 25. Trailer entered and laptop computer stolen, 3000 block of Sand Hill Road, July 26.

Fraud report: Scam story used to obtain $20, first block of El Camino Real, July 25.

Grand-theft reports: Laptop computer stolen, 1300 block of Willow Road, July 23. Tool set taken from garage, 300 block of Pierce Road, July 26. Projector stolen, 1600 block of Adams Drive, July 27. Degreaser cover and steel fume hood taken from back of business, 1000 block of O'Brien Drive, July 27. Mountain bike taken from yard, 1800 block of Oak Avenue, July 28. Jewelry stolen, 100 block of El Camino Real, July 29.

Prohibited weapon: Miguel Barragan, 24, of East Palo Alto, was arrested near Willow Road and Middlefield Road on charges of possession of an illegal hand gun and taken to county jail, July 24.

Woodside

Traffic-accident report: Two bikes collided at Canada Road and Jefferson Avenue, and one rider's head hit the asphalt, July 18. He was taken to Stanford Hospital.

Burglary report: Jewelry and laptop computer taken from residence through unlocked door, 1700 block of Fernside Street, July 23.

Portola Valley

Grand-theft reports: Personal items taken from unlocked vehicle, near Alpine Road and Willowbrook Drive, July 19. Two rings taken from women's locker room, Alpine Hills Tennis & Swimming Club, July 20.

Elder-abuse report: Richard Bray, 57, of Portola Valley, was arrested on charges of elder abuse, 100 block Mapache Drive, July 20.

Burglary report: Window broken and purse taken from vehicle, 500 block of Portola Road, July 23.

West Menlo Park

Auto-burglary reports: CDs taken from unlocked vehicle, 1900 block of Dakin Avenue, July 19. Attempted removal of car stereo from unlocked vehicle, 2000 block of Santa Cruz Avenue, July 20.
