High school students may enroll now
High school students may enroll now
(August 18, 2004)
There's still time for new students in the Sequoia Union High School District to enroll in one of the district's schools before school starts on Monday, August 30.
Signing up for school now is advisable because enrollment can not be guaranteed on the first day of school if too many people show up, said Susan Berghouse, Sequoia's director of public information and communication. The needs of currently enrolled students who have followed the process must take precedence over "walk-ins" who show up the first day of school, she said.
To take advantage of enrollment opportunities in August at Sequoia's four comprehensive high schools, contact the following people in the schools' guidance offices:
** Miriam Waugh, Menlo-Atherton High School, 322-5311, ext. 5121, 555 Middlefield Road, Atherton.
** Maricela Medina, Woodside High School, 367-9750, ext. 4318, 199 Churchill Ave., Woodside.
** Juanita Sanchez, Sequoia High School, 367-9780, ext. 6263, 1201 Brewster Ave., Redwood City.
** Joanne Davis, Carlmont High School, 595-0210, ext. 3208.
For more information, call Susan Berghouse or Mary Mazza in the district office at 369-1411, ext. 2210 or ext. 2211; or e-mail sberghou@seq.org.
