Caption with picture in print edition: Atherton resident Joseph Cotton, a retired test pilot, will share some amazing tales from his 40 years in aviation at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 28, at the Hiller Aviation Museum, 601 Skyway Road in San Carlos. Mr. Cotton served in the U.S. Army Air Corps and the U.S. Air Force, spent four months evading the Nazis in Greece when his B-17 was shot down during World War II, and has flown more than 80 types of aircraft in his years as a test pilot for the Air Force and United Airlines.
