Reward offered in homicide investigation Reward offered in homicide investigation (August 25, 2004)

Menlo Park police are offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of suspects involved in the killing of Rodolfo Gonzalez on the night of April 17 at 1103 Hollyburne Ave. in Menlo Park.

Mr. Gonzalez was shot in his driveway after a confrontation with two men who demanded money from him, Menlo Park police Sgt. Matt Bacon said. Earlier, the men had forced their way into Mr. Gonzalez's apartment while he was away and demanded money from his wife and children, Sgt. Bacon said. The men fled on foot.

Police described the two suspects as African-American men, ages 18 to 21, and of medium build; one is about 5 feet 10 inches tall and the other, 5 feet 9 inches.

The reward will be paid for the arrest and conviction of either suspect, Sgt. Bacon said. Anyone with information should call Detective Bill Massey at 330-6363. To provide information anonymously, call 330-6395.
