Morrow murder case delayed
(October 06, 2004) The murder trial for Joseph Morrow, a former Menlo Park resident accused of killing his wife Donna Morrow in 1991, has been postponed to January 24, said prosecutor Jack Grandsaert. The trial was scheduled to begin October 4.
Mr. Morrow's defense attorney, Robert Courshon, was granted the postponement after advising the court that he was not prepared for trial, Mr. Grandsaert said.
Mr. Morrow, who told police his wife walked out of the house shortly before Christmas, is accused of killing Ms. Morrow at their College Avenue home and burying her body on undeveloped property he owned in Los Gatos.
Before he could be charged with his wife's death, he fled the country and was discovered living under an assumed name in the Philippines.
He was arrested on passport fraud charges in January 2003 and extradited to the U.S. Mrs. Morrow's body was discovered in September 2003.
