Coldwell Banker moves to larger Menlo Park offices Coldwell Banker moves to larger Menlo Park offices (March 23, 2005)

Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage recently moved its Menlo Park El Camino office to a larger facility nearby.

Coldwell Banker on March 5 occupied the entire third floor at 800 El Camino Real, an 11,076-square-foot space that can accommodate 80 agents, said office manager Wendy McPherson. The office now has 65 agents.

With the lease, Coldwell Banker becomes the largest tenant in what is known as the Charles Schwab Building.

Previously, the brokerage was located at 1000 El Camino in an 8,000-square-foot space the company had occupied since 1985. Coldwell Banker also has offices at 930 Santa Cruz Ave. in Menlo Park.

"This move is really one more sign of Coldwell Banker's rapid growth here in Menlo Park," said Ms. McPherson. "We simply had outgrown our existing space and there just wasn't any way to expand enough to meet our needs. This new office is a much better fit for us."

Ms. McPherson, who had been working on the move for a year, said the new office is more appropriate both in terms of size and the number of private offices. The latter is important because Menlo Park agents tend to be more experienced and higher-producing than agents in most real estate offices, she said.

Ms. McPherson, with nearly three decades of real estate experience, has been manager of the El Camino office since 1991. She was manager of the Portola Valley office from 1985 to 1991.

The Menlo Park El Camino office is located at 800 El Camino Real, Suite 300, and can be reached by calling 324-4456.
