Cashin names Skrabo to management post Cashin names Skrabo to management post (March 23, 2005)

Cashin Co. recently named Peninsula real estate veteran Paul Skrabo as vice president and co-manager of its downtown Palo Alto office.

Mr. Skrabo, 49, has 27 years of residential real estate experience on the Peninsula as an agent and manager.

He joined Cashin Co. three years ago, after serving the previous 10 years as manager of Cornish & Carey/Coldwell Banker's Portola Valley office. He will co-manage Cashin Co.'s Palo Alto office with John Lazar.

"Paul's appointment will enable us to provide better support for our agents and customers and solidify our position as the lead broker in the market place," said Emmet J. "Skip" Cashin III, president of Cashin Co.

Born and raised in Menlo Park, Mr. Skrabo graduated from Stanford University in 1977.

"I started my career with Fox & Carskadon, where Skip Cashin was my first manager, so I'm well-acquainted with his philosophy and management style," said Mr. Skrabo. "In this company, relationships, communication, and local ties are very important, and those are things I believe in very strongly."

The Palo Alto office, which opened last year at 400 Hamilton Ave., is the seventh Peninsula location for Cashin Co., a family-owned brokerage that focuses exclusively on Santa Clara and San Mateo counties.

The company has about 350 agents in offices in Menlo Park, Woodside, Burlingame, San Carlos, San Mateo, Palo Alto and Los Altos.
