How did the cop-doughnut association get started? A. I'm not really sure. I can tell you that the doughnut shop that used to be on Alma Street some years ago drew us because it was open around the clock; fresh food and coffee were scarce at 4 a.m. We called those doughnuts "gut bombs" and never failed to regret having eaten them.
