Former EPA head to visit Atherton Former EPA head to visit Atherton (May 11, 2005)

Moderate pro-choice Republican Christine Todd Whitman is coming to a private residence in Atherton on Friday, May 13, for a reception and fundraising event for pro-choice Republican women candidates for office.

Ms. Whitman, a former governor of New Jersey and head of the Environmental Protection Agency in George W. Bush's first term, is the recent author of "It's My Party, Too!" Joining her will be Pat Carpenter, president of the WISH list, a Republican women's fundraising group.
