Obituaries

Menlo Park resident

Antonina Merlino, a resident of Menlo Park for 45 years, died at home July 1. She was 92.

Ms. Merlino, who was born in Belmont, Massachusetts, moved to Sicily with her family when she was a baby. As a young woman, she was married to Domenic Merlino in Sicily and returned to the United States with him and their children in 1950. The family lived in Waltham, Massachusetts, for 10 years before moving to Menlo Park in 1960.

Ms. Merlino loved gardening, crocheting, cooking and spending time with her close-knit family, say family members. She was a member of St. Raymond parish for 45 years.

She is survived by her children, Stephen Merlino and Concetta Pasqua, both of Menlo Park. Her husband Domenic and son Joseph preceded her in death.

Services were held July 7 at St. Raymond Church, with entombment at Alta Mesa Memorial Park in Palo Alto.
