Menlo Park PD promotes two detectives
(July 27, 2005) Detectives Ron Prickett and Jill Jensen of the Menlo Park Police Department have been promoted to sergeants, Chief Chris Boyd announced last week.
Sgt. Prickett, a 24-year veteran with the department, started in the patrol division and has since worked in the traffic unit and officer field training, and as a detective on the Narcotics Enforcement Team.
A master instructor in both firearms and motorcycle riding, Sgt. Prickett has an associate's degree in criminal justice.
Sgt. Jensen started with Menlo Park in 1999 as an officer in the patrol division, and went on to work in officer field training and as a detective in the investigations division.
An instructor in self-defense tactics, she previously worked as an intern with the California Youth Authority, as a probation officer with the San Mateo County Juvenile Probation Department, and as a social worker and therapist in Stanislaus County.
She has a bachelor's degree in psychology and a master's degree in social work.
