Karen Enstam wins teaching honors
(August 03, 2005) Karin Enstam, a 1990 graduate of Menlo-Atherton High School, recently received Sonoma State University's first annual Associated Students Educator of the Year award.
Ms. Enstam, an assistant professor of anthropology at Sonoma State since 2002, was chosen for her dedication to students and involvement in the Sonoma State community. She advises the Anthropology Club, serves on the Academic Affairs Committee, and coaches the women's lacrosse team.
The daughter of Sandra and Dennis Enstam of Portola Valley, she has three degrees in anthropology: a bachelor's from UC San Diego in 1994, a master's from UC Davis in 1997, and a doctorate from UC Davis in 2002.
