Three candidates stepped forward late last week and applied for the four-year term on the Portola Valley School District Board.

They are: Joseph Androlowicz, Donald Collat and Brad Turner, said Superintendent Anne Campbell Monday afternoon.

Trustees plan to appoint the new member at a regular board meeting on Wednesday, October 26, after scheduling interviews next week that are open to the public.

The vacancy occurs November 30 when Trustee Deborah Rappaport's four-year-terms ends. Trustees Donna Carano and Ray Villareal filed for re-election, but no one filed for the third position on the board.
