** Navy Seaman Samuel J. Williams , a 2004 graduate of Menlo-Atherton High School, recently completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command in Great Lakes, Illinois. During the eight-week program, he completed a variety of training including classroom study, physical fitness, and practical instruction on Naval customs, first aid, firefighting, water safety and survival, and shipboard and aircraft safety.
