Budget committee meetings announced
Members of Menlo Park's city staff and the volunteer Budget Advisory Committee will meet November 3 and 10 to discuss how taxes, business development and efficiencies are taken into consideration when balancing the city's budget.
On November 3, the committee will discuss business development from 6 to 8 p.m. and taxes from 8 to 10 p.m. On November 10, it will discuss efficiencies from 6 to 8 p.m.
At its September 22 meeting, the committee suggested that additional information about the city's finances and expenses would be helpful in understanding the "Your city/your decision" budget survey results.
About 1,200 surveys were submitted to the city by the October 3 deadline. Results have not been announced.
Agendas will be available 72 hours prior to each meeting on the city's Web site at menlopark.org/homepage/priority_budget.html. The location of each meeting will be listed on the agenda.
