(November 09, 2005) The polls closed after the Almanac's deadline, but continuing election night results will be posted on PaloAtloOnline.com. Election stories will be posted on AlmanacNews.com on Tuesday and Wednesday, and will appear in the next print edition of the Almanac.
Local observance of Veterans Day
Veterans Day on Thursday, November 11, will be observed at the Menlo Park division of the Palo Alto Veterans Affairs Health Care System at 795 Willow Road in Menlo Park, with music by the Air National Guard Band "Brass Wings" from 10 to 11:30 a.m. and a color guard, veterans presentation and video from 1 to 3 p.m. in the core building gym.
The recreation therapy coffee house will be open from 9 a.m. to noon with a display of patriotic creative arts projects. Volunteers are needed to assist with preparations the evening of November 10 and during the day on November 11. Computer Clubhouse reopens in East Palo Alto
The Computer Clubhouse at the Boys and Girls Club of the Peninsula in East Palo Alto is renovated and reopened. With a professional-level recording studio and digital graphics studio, the clubhouse is a place where students ages 10 to 18 can experiment with new technology. The center is in the Moldaw-Zaffaroni Clubhouse at 2031 Pulgas Ave. For information, call Chris Canter at (415) 336-2999.
