A preview of the opening exhibit at the new de Young Museum will be given in the Portola Valley Library on Thursday, November 17, at 7:30 p.m.

Docent Peggy Gordon will give a slide/lecture, entitled "Hatshepsut: From Queen to Pharaoh," the changing interpretations of a woman, who claimed full powers of the throne and assumed the title of "King."

This event is free and open to the public in the relocated library at Corte Madera School, 4575 Alpine Road, Portola Valley. Sponsoring the program are the Friends of the Portola Valley Library and the library staff.
