Trustees to hear parent's complaint Trustees to hear parent's complaint (December 14, 2005)

A parent of a former first-grader in the Menlo Park City School District has requested a public hearing on his appeal of a decision relating to class assignment practices at Laurel School.

Trustees will meet at 6:15 p.m. Wednesday, December 14, at a special meeting to hear the appeal in public session at the district office, 181 Encinal Ave. in Atherton.

Parent Jim Doody said in an e-mail to the Almanac that he has lodged "discrimination and mismanagement complaints" against the elementary school district. He will present his perspectives as a parent on the administrative leadership at Laurel School later during the board's regular meeting that begins at 7 p.m.
