Menlo Park City Council members must be satisfied with the job City Manager Glen Rojas is doing in the city's top post.
Council members voted unanimously on Sept. 23 to grant Mr. Rojas a $4,000 bonus, and extend his contract one additional year, through July 31, 2011.
The vote was taken as part of the council's consent calendar.
Top managers and department heads are eligible for annual bonuses of up to $5,000, according to a report by City Attorney Bill McClure.
Mr. Rojas, city manager since August 2007, has a base salary of $220,434.
