Caltrain officials have announced a change to normal schedules during Thanksgiving week.
The agency will operate on a Sunday schedule on Thanksgiving Day Thursday and run a modified Saturday schedule on Friday, Caltrain spokeswoman Tasha Bartholomew said.
The regular Sunday schedule, which will be used on Thanksgiving, consists of 28 trains between San Francisco and San Jose, as well as shuttle service to the Tamien station, Bartholomew said.
Train service on Thanksgiving will not operate south of San Jose, she said.
The modified Saturday schedule the day after Thanksgiving, known as "Black Friday," and traditionally one of the busiest shopping days of the year, will include 28 trains between San Francisco and San Jose, in addition to two round trips to Gilroy, Bartholomew said.
Black Friday's schedule will also include three limited-stop trains in the morning and afternoon, she said.
