Menlo Park boy reportedly shoots himself in leg

Police say wound isn't life-threatening

Menlo Park police are investigating an accidental shooting that injured a boy early this morning (Tuesday), police said.

Police responded to the 600 block of Pierce Road at about 1:20 a.m. where a juvenile accidentally shot himself in the lower leg while taking apart a gun, Menlo Park police Sgt. Matthew Ortega said.

The victim was transported to Stanford Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, Ortega said. No details as to the youth's age were immediately avaliable.

Is that boy related to Dick Chaney?

Dick Cheney would never shoot himself. He shot some other guy, and then the victim went on national TV and apologized for having been shot.

This, on the other hand, shows why guns and children do not mix.

While some silly kid shoots himself in the leg, our city council is carefully aiming to shoot itself in the foot.

"This, on the other hand, shows why guns and children do not mix."

And the Cheney incident shows why guns and drunken VPs should't mix.
