Police investigate stabbing of Menlo Park teen

Police say 16-year-old victim was dropped off at hospital with multiple stab wounds

Police are investigating a stabbing that critically injured a Menlo Park teenager in East Palo Alto on Saturday.

Around 4 p.m. Saturday, police got a report of a victim who had been dropped off at a local hospital after suffering multiple stab wounds in

East Palo Alto, police said.

Surveillance footage shows multiple people dropping off the victim, a 16-year-old Menlo Park resident, at the hospital.

The video footage shows that the people, possibly the teenager's friends, did not stay on the scene to speak to hospital staff, police said. The victim underwent surgery and was listed in critical but stable condition Saturday night.

No suspects in the stabbing have been located and the motive for the attack is unknown.

Police are asking anyone with information about this incident to contact the East Palo Alto Police Department via anonymous email at epa@tipnow.org, with an anonymous text or voice mail sent to (650) 409-6792.

Friends don't drop friends off in critical medical condition and then flee the hospital.

True, friends do not leave a friend critically hurt. I guess he now knows who his friends truely are.

Some friends! They left because the didn't want to talk to the police. Heaven forbid, they might have been able to identify the attacker. Next, we'll see the revenge stabbings.
