Portola Valley will hold its third annual "Flight Night," with demonstrations and displays of radio-controlled model aircraft, at 6 p.m. Friday, May 31, at the Portola Valley Town Center, 765 Portola Road in Portola Valley.
The public is invited to this free event, where fixed-wing, helicopters and multi-copters will be demonstrated and displayed. Participants can get instruction and practice on computer flight simulators, and can build and fly gliders, with materials supplied at the event.
Exhibits will include NASA rotorcraft and information on careers in science and technology, organizers say. The event is sponsored by the Portola Valley Nature & Science Committee.
