Tonight: Cajun music in Menlo Park

Tom Rigney and Flambeau will perform Cajun, zydeco and blues music at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday night, Aug. 7, in Fremont Park, located on Santa Cruz Avenue at University Drive in downtown Menlo Park.

The 90-minute performance is part of a free weekly concert in the park series sponsored by the Community Services Department of the city of Menlo Park.

The last performance of the summer will be at the same time and place Wednesday, Aug. 14, when the Sun Kings, a Beatles tribute band, performs.

People are invited to bring a picnic basket and blanket for the outdoor performance.

Call (650) 330-2220 to reach the Community Services Department or click here to see a flier on the series.

Also, please note there is also a concert on Tuesday night at Kelly Park. Lots of opportunities to sit and enjoy music and neighbors in the waning days of summer.
