Portola Valley tonight: SOD Blitz results

Matteo Garbelotto, professor in the Department of Environmental Science, Policy, and Management at UC Berkeley, will report on the Sudden Oak Death (SOD) "Blitz" (collection of data by citizens in May) at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 3, at the Community Hall in Portola Valley Town Center, 765 Portola Road in Portola Valley.

Light refreshments will be provided during the free two-hour program. Attendees are invited to stop by the Portola Valley Farmers' Market before the presentation for a snack and fresh produce. The market is held at Town Center every Thursday from 3 to 7 p.m.

A SOD Management Training will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, in the Community Hall.
