Saturday in Portola Valley: Sudden Oak Death treatment and mitigation

A program on controlling Sudden Oak Death will be held from 1 to 2:15 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, at the Portola Valley Town Hall conference room, 765 Portola Road in Portola Valley.

This free event will focus on the biology of Sudden Oak Death and changes in recommended treatments. Instruction will be given on the use of a new mobile app, SODMAP, and using GPS to monitor trees.
