James Lianides, superintendent of the Sequoia Union High School District, will give a presentation on the effects of the enrollment surge at 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 14, at La Entrada Middle School, 2200 Sharon Road in Menlo Park.
The Sequoia district is considering adjustments to neighborhood/high-school assignment boundaries to address a surge in enrollment currently moving through local elementary schools and the effect on high school capacity.
The presentation begins at 7 p. m. in Jensen Hall at La Entrada Middle School at 2200 Sharon Road. Accompanying Mr. Lianides will be Menlo-Atherton High School Principal Matthew Zito along with Sequoia district staff and board members. After the presentation, Sequoia officials will take questions.
In an email, Mr. Lianides repeated an assertion made last week at a similar meeting with parents from the Menlo Park City Elementary School District -- that all of the Las Lomitas community will be assigned to M-A. The Sequoia board is not expected to take action until mid-2014.
