Pet of the week

From Scott Delucchi, Peninsula Humane Society.

We've all had a bad hair day, right? Dixie, a spry 12-year-old Bichon Frise mix available for adoption at the Peninsula Humane Society, can relate.

She's a sweet old gal looking for someone to make her twilight years enjoyable and stable. Maybe a senior would fit that bill.

She's housetrained, she likes other dogs, can live with children and would also be a great dog for a first-time owner. She been through it all and simply wants to be beside a new best friend for what we expect will be many years.

To adopt Dixie or learn more, visit the PHS adoption center at 1450 Rollins Road in Burlingame, visit or call (650) 340-7022, ext. 823.
