Saturday: Winter Wooferland in Menlo Park

Fresh snow, therapy dogs at VA Welcome Center

Therapy dogs and 2,000 pounds of fresh snow for the enjoyment of canine and human alike will help turn the Veterans Affairs Welcome Center in Menlo Park into a "Winter Wooferland" on Saturday (Dec. 14).

The Warrior Canine Connection, in partnership with Recreation Therapy and Voluntary Services, will bring dogs, live music, food, training demonstrations and crafts to local veterans as well as the public.

The event takes place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the center, located on the VA campus at 795 Willow Road.
