Tonight: Menlo Park may study home design guidelines

Sometimes, in Menlo Park, a residential property owner can follow all the rules in designing a new home and face no opposition from neighbors, only to find that the city kicks the project back to the drawing board.

It's a situation that frustrates planning commissioners as well as homeowners. Tonight (Feb. 24), the Menlo Park Planning Commission will discuss whether to schedule a study session on developing a set of residential design guidelines that could help prevent future disappointment.

Click here to review the full agenda for tonight's meeting, which starts at 7 p.m. in council chambers at the Civic Center at 701 Laurel St. Watch the meeting live online via the city's website.
