Saturday: Exotic cars and croissants in Menlo Park

Menlo Park may seem like an odd location for an exotic car show, given the city's predilection for biking, walking and other "green" modes of transportation. But perhaps the offer of baked goods will tempt residents to attend a new monthly event that debuts Saturday, April 5: "Cars and Croissants."

100 Oct, an organization that hosts exotic and performance car shows, rallies and drives in the Bay Area, has partnered with the city to bring this free event to downtown Menlo Park, according to Economic Development Manager Jim Cogan.

On Saturday, the car show will be held from 9 a.m. to noon in the parking lot between Evelyn and Crane streets. Future events will be held on Santa Cruz Avenue, the city said.

Cool! Nice to see the city trying to attract visitors to the downtown - it can only help downtown businesses by providing this opportunity.

I read an announcement where this event was co-sponsored by the City and the Menlo Park Chamber of Commerce who partnered with 100 OCT. Glad to see another great event where business prospers and the community thrives!

I'm in my eighties and past my sports car days but this event made my day!
It is wonderful to have this happening in town. Keep it going.

It was a fun event - we need to find some way to better tie it in with the local businesses.
There was a good crowd there, lots of beautiful cars but there was no easy way to connect those people to the nearby businesses.

Just wondering when the next car show is and what time? I think the car show is great and adds a little lift to downtown

Editor's note: It looks like the next one is July 5 Web Link
