Saturday: Kepler's throws party for California Bookstore Day with Wizard with Oz cast

Kepler's Books in Menlo Park will join 93 other stores in celebrating California Bookstore Day on Saturday, May 3.

Festivities will include a visit from the costumed cast of Grab Bag Theater's production of the "Wizard of Oz" at 1 p.m. The actors will perform some musical numbers and be available for photographs.

Special edition books and artwork, such as a collection of culinary author Michael Pollan's family recipes, will be on sale only on May 3, according to a press release.

The celebration will wrap up with a book swap at 6:30 p.m. featuring Tracy Guzman, author of "A Gravity of Birds."

Swap tickets are $25 and may be purchased at Brown Paper Tickets until the event sells out.

Kepler's Books & Magazines is located at 1010 El Camino Real.
