Lucile Packard launches rebranded care network

Children's hospital now part of ovearching Stanford Children's Health brand

Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Stanford is re-branding itself as part of Stanford Children's Health, a network dedicated to the care of children and expectant mothers, the hospital announced Monday. The move is intended to help contribute to and continue to build the breadth of Northern California's largest children and women's health network, according to a press release.

Stanford Children's Health currently has access points and partners at 64 locations in Northern California,. The reach of its services extends to more than 100 locations in eight states, according to the release.

"Our network of care, now called Stanford Children's Health, represents how we are responding to the changing healthcare environment and an increased consumer demand for high-quality services to be available in outpatient settings closer to home," Christopher G. Dawes, president and CEO of Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Stanford and Stanford Children's Health, stated in the release. "Access to this type of integrated care network improves the patient experience, increases convenience and reduces overall costs."

In addition to the rebranding, Stanford Children's Health is expanding its facilities with a new specialty service center in Sunnyvale slated to open in 2016. The Lucile Packard Children's Hospital is also in the midst of expansion, with a new 520,000-square-foot addition that features more family-friendly technology and greater patient capacity on its way in 2017.
