Portola Valley: Shelter-in-place lifted in PV Ranch

As of 3:26 p.m. today, authorities lifted the request that some Portola Valley Ranch residents in the vicinity of 5 Valley Oak shelter in place out of concern over a reported natural gas leak.

Fire Chief Dan Ghiorso of the Woodside Fire Protection District issued the bulletin ending the alert, though he noted that construction crews will be on the scene, possibly for another three hours.

The affected area in Portola Valley Ranch included the streets of Acorn, Bayberry and Valley Oak.
