Friday: Menlo Park police Special Olympics torch run

The annual Special Olympics of Northern California torch run in Menlo Park kicks off at 9 a.m. on Friday (June 20). Law enforcement personnel will carry the torch along northbound El Camino Real from the Palo Alto border to the Atherton border.

The Special Olympics is a nonprofit that organizes free sports training and competitions across the world for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. This summer's games start on June 27.
