Wanting to trying reading an e-book but not quite ready to buy a device to read one on? The San Mateo County Library system has a solution for you — e-readers available to check out of all 12 county libraries, including Woodside, Portola Valley and Atherton.
The libraries have added 65 Nook HD eReader tablets to their “In Luck” collection, items that can’t be reserved but are available on a first-come, first-served basis, for three-week checkout.
The Nooks come pre-loaded with selected bestsellers, plus come with a carrying case, charger and instructions.
The county library systems soon plans to add additional e-readers with titles for children and teens.
